January 2009 VisionIP reaches 50 not out at Dean Close School
This year has started in the same vein as the old one finished. Our site at Dean Close School has been extended again and their system now operates over 50 cameras. Some of the school’s sports facilities are now open for public use and so two additional mega pixel cameras will record high quality images of all activities in the Sports Hall and a new PTZ camera provides active monitoring of the artificial pitches during the holidays. A fourth camera has been installed near the entrance to the Headmaster’s house.
November 2008 Improved surveillance at National Star College
This year has been marked by a large number of our customer’s upgrading and extending their VisionIP CCTV systems and thus confirming their commitment to our organisation. The latest user to do so is the National Star College near Cheltenham, an independent, specialist college that educates and trains young people with physical disabilities.
The college has been operating our system since 2005 and recently replaced three of their old cameras and installed another three cameras to improve the 24 hour security at their headquarters at Ullenwood. All six units are mega pixel models with high resolution day/night capabilities.
October 2008 Deer Park School extension
Since installing a 23 camera system at Cirencester Deer Park School two years ago, it has gradually become a valuable part of the day to day security and management of what is a large and dispersed site. The school decided to take advantage of our considerable experience and expertise with mega pixel cameras and have replaced two of the original digital devices with high definition day/night cameras.
The system has also been extended to include two additional cameras, one of which is a 3.0 mega pixel internal, dome unit with digital zoom capabilities.
August 2008 VisionIP keeps a close watch on new 6th Form Block
Our impressive track record in the Education
sector continues apace and we have just
extended our VisionIP system at Ribston
Hall High School in Gloucester to incorporate
ten of the latest mega pixel cameras from Axis
and Arecont which will provide top quality
security for their new buildings.
June/July 2008 The Robert Hitchens project goes live!
The final aspect of the project has been the upgrade and extension of the original CCTV system at Bond’s Mill. All three surveillance systems have now been commissioned and tested and the broadband links to Glevum Security are in operation. A new dedicated PC has been installed at Glevum to run the IntruderIP software.
June 2008
The latest release of VisionIP is available.

April 2008 Wotton casts its net wider
The next phase of our project at Wotton-under-Edge has just been commissioned and has involved the supply and installation of a PTZ camera on the front of a convenience shop, approximately half a mile from the town centre. This is an area that has experienced some problems in the past and because the topography does not permit the extension of their wireless CCTV system, the camera is connected via a broadband link to the recording facility at the Civic Centre.
March 2008
Our new venture into remote monitoring with Robert Hitchins Properties continues to progress well and we have just completed the installation of the second, new CCTV system at Mill Place. The broadband links to all three sites will be commissioned next month and we can then concentrate on installing and testing the Intruder Detection system which will be in operation at Glevum Security’s monitoring centre.
January 2008 Three in One
The New Year has heralded a considerable development in our relationship with one of our biggest local customers, Robert Hitchins Properties. Our VisionIP CCTV system has been operating very successfully at their Bond’s Mill Estate at Stonehouse in Gloucestershire for several years and they have decided to extend the surveillance coverage to two new sites: at Mill Place, a large industrial and warehousing complex near the centre of Gloucester and at the Quedgeley Enterprise Centre, a new commercial development on the site of the old RAF base. Eventually all three sites will be monitored remotely via a broadband connection. This service will be operated 24/7 by Glevum Security, using our Internet-based monitoring system, IntruderIP.
The first stage of this project is almost completed and has involved the installation of a new CCTV system with four mega pixel cameras around Avionics House at the Quedgeley site.
December 2007 Firewatch
This year closes with our first order for the CommandIP module from Primetech Ltd. This unique software application plays a vital role in the rapid deployment, communications and surveillance system that they are providing to Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service. It provides Incident Commanders with the control and ‘vision’ needed to successfully manage a remote incident.
December 2007 Redhand to the Rescue!

We are pleased to announce the launch of CommandIP the software for a Rapid Deployment Camera System that has been developed specifically for Primetech
(UK) Ltd. It provides speedy access to high quality, live video and audio that is streamed
securely from the scene of an Emergency Incident and supplies Incident Commanders with ‘virtual eyes’ to help them to
make quicker and better decisions. CommandIP is a unique, IP-based software package which has been
developed to provide the control and ‘vision’ needed to successfully manage a remote incident. Multiple cameras can viewed and the PTZ functions controlled from a single screen in the command centre.
September 2007 Wireless in Wotton

For some time, Wotton-under-Edge Town Council in the Cotswolds have been looking for a CCTV system that would be able to cope with the geographical and historical restrictions of the tall Georgian buildings and sloping, narrow streets of the town centre and still be cost effective. Installing a conventional cabled system would be expensive and so after much deliberation and consultation, we decided that the best option would be to offer them a wireless version of VisionIP that would deliver high quality video at a very competitive price. We have installed 2 cameras in the Civic Centre and a further 7 mega pixel, day/night cameras monitoring the main car parks and streets. The Council have been extremeley pleased with the quality and definition of the recorded images.
August 2007 Chilworth Manor Hotel
One of our earliest customers that installed a system in April 2005, have just completed an extension and refurbishment project. We have upgraded the CCTV system and installed 2 additional cameras in the new leisure complex.

May 2007 Back to School
Education continues to be our main market place and our latest customer is Dean Close School, a local co-educational day and boarding school that provides continuity of education for pupils aged from 2-18. The school was founded in 1886 and is situated in 56 acres of parkland near the centre of Cheltenham. This is a large site, both in terms of geographical area and numbers of cameras. Our VisionIP system is supporting a total of 46 x IP cameras to provide general grounds security and 24 hour protection for the boarding houses. This CCTV system also covers their modern Sports Centre, which is open to the general public.
We must be doing something right as yet another customer has installed additional cameras to enhance the coverage of our CCTV system. The National Star College asked us to position another 2 external cameras to beef up the security outside the residential accomodation at Overton House in Cheltenham.
Spring 2007 Something old, something new
At the end of January one of our existing clients, Deer Park School in Cirencester extended their CCTV system by installing 2 additional internal cameras to monitor the main corridor areas. In March we increased our presence in Cirencester when Tindirect Ltd a global provider of business to business IT hardware solutions, selected our VisionIP CCTV system. A total of 7 mega pixel IP cameras are being used to secure and manage their warehousing and office complex.
December 2006 The old year is certainly is certainly ending with a bang, rather than going out with a whimper. This month has seen the launch of an exciting new product, IntruderIP our smart, Internet-based CCTV system for Monitoring Centres and we have moved into new offices at one of our customer's sites - Bond's Mill Estate at Stonehouse.
November 2006 Kingsmead School in Cheltenham was one of the first local schools to install our CCTV system, back in 2004 and they have extended the coverage by contracting us to install another nine cameras.
September 2006 Introducing mega pixel cameras - great images!

This month saw a major event in our company's brief history, when
we installed our first mega pixel IP cameras at Berkeley Town Council. The latest version of VisionIP supports this technology, which has become a familiar feature of our mobile phones and the system captures images and records them at the full megapixel resolution! Three high quality cameras are providing security at the Berkeley Sports Pavilion, which has recently been extended and refurbished.
July 2006 Consolidation
In keeping with many other sectors, the Summer months are not always the best time for new business in our industry. But, we are pleased that we managed to consolidate our position by extending our systems on several of our customer's sites. Happy Days Nurseries in cooperation with Cornwall County Council have fiited another 3 cameras at each of the new Children's Centres attached to their Falmouth and Redruth nurseries.
National Star College have installed five cameras at another of their sites at Elizabeth House in Gloucester, that provides accomodation for physically disabled students. Naturally, the security and well being of these students is a concern and the VisionIP system’s low network bandwidth
requirements, allows images from these sites to be
captured and stored on the PC at the main site at Ullenwood
via the 2Mb Internet connection, as well as the
usual monitoring of live images.

June 2006 Far away in the West
At the end of May our Celtic connection received a welcome boost when we
were successful in winning the contract to provide a CCTV system for a new luxury holiday village at Portreath in West Cornwall. Gwel an Mor Holiday
Village is situated on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic and our VisionIP system
is providing important site security as building and development work continues. Providing remote monitoring via the Internet of the 7 cameras, proved to be an important requirement.
May 2006 Spring has sprung!
A quiet start to the new year, but the arrival of Spring coincided with a raised level of interest in our products and some new business from a previously untapped vertical market.
National Star College is located in Gloucestershire and is an independent specialist residential college working with learners who have physical disabilities and associated
learning difficulties. Concerned about the ease of access, in March they opted for a small 3 camera system to monitor the entrance and car parks at their Ullenwood site. April saw us involved in the installation of a 23 camera system at Deer Park School in Cirencester. This is a very large, open site and we implemented the VisionIP system on their existing IT infrastructure using a VLAN.
Later that month we installed a 5 camera solution at Racing Club, Warwick, a football club founded for the veterans returning from the Great War in 1919. They moved into the existing site in the late 60's and the club is now used for a wide variety of additional activities. RedHand's VisionIP system was chosen for its excellent picture quality and is used to monitor the bar area and liquor store.
November 2005 New work during the Autumn
We have been extremely busy over the Autumn period. Prince Henry High School in Evesham have installed a new all weather pitch and have an additional 6 IR cameras, fed via a new fibre optic cable laid as part of the build. The 4 pavillion cameras some distance away are fed via a wireless LAN connection. The cameras from the school's old system have now been integrated into the RedHand software allowing the removal of the large monitiors and VCR equipment. This has enabled a distributed viewing facility throughout the network on laptop computers held by key staff. The school now has 25 cameras.
The excellent working relationship between ourselves and Cornwall’s premier nursery operator Happy Days Day Nurseries, continues to develop very successfully and a further two sites were equipped with SafeGuard during November. The new facility at Truro College is the first purpose built nursery in the county and has been designed to provide a first class, secure environment. We have also put our system into another new nursery at Falmouth and installed 3 additional cameras in the nursery at Redruth, which had recently been extended.
Maxwell Place, a new residential/commercial development in the centre of Bishops Cleeve has selected VisionIP as an integral part of its security systems. A remote monitoring facility has also been installed which operates via the Internet.
Heygate Mills in Northampton has enlarged their existing system with the addition of four cameras.
July 2005
A new release of VisionIP Viewer is available.
Responding to customer feedback, enhancements include the ability to be able to remove viewer panes when in Synchronised Play. This helps to concentrate on activity from certain cameras. This same update has been applied to the CDViewer which will be useful in court hearings. Also when selecting to play from Date and Time, all cameras can be selected easily by clicking the Header bar at the top of the camera list.

The Chilworth Manor HotelChilworth Manor Hotel in Southampton has selected RedHand to supply a five-camera VisionIP installation. Security in their car parks and reception area is a major concern and the management has chosen RedHand because of its user- friendly, picture management and reviewing facilities. . |
March 2005
Happy Days Day Nurseries
The installation of SafeGuard into the Happy Days Day Nurseries in Redruth ( Cornwall ) and the Cherry Tree Nursery in Ashford ( Kent ) has strengthened RedHand 's position in the children's nursery market. One of our channel partners, Tempest Security carried out the installation in Kent .
The Happy Days' installation was the latest in the rollout of SafeGuard as the standard fit in all of Happy Days' nurseries. The management see the system as a vital tool in providing proof of good practice and an aid to the smooth operation of their childcare centres. "We see SafeGuard as a tremendous success. We are pleased to endorse this product and we are rolling it out to our other 12 sites" said Happy Days' Director Robin Karkeek. Its ability to store at least 90 days worth of good quality pictures on an ordinary office PC makes the system unique in this marketplace. . .

RedHand in Education
Following our recent successes at Ribston Hall School in Gloucester and Pershore High School one of our first local customers, Kingsmead School here in Cheltenham, have ordered extra cameras making a total of seventeen now operating on their 100BT backbone. They report that despite this increase, no impact on the network is evident.

January 2005
Filton College
RedHand is please to have been awarded a major contract at Filton College , in Bristol . The college's IT staff have been very much involved in the decision process and VisionIP was selected because of the low footprint in terms of network utilisation and storage requirements. A total of twenty-four internal and external cameras have been installed in the initial phase, with a number of 'Viewer' modules providing key staff with management information. |
| |
Prince Henry High School
RedHand has installed an additional four-camera wireless system at an existing customer, Prince Henry High School in Evesham, Worcestershire. This was a retrofit to an existing archaic, analogue CCTV system in the sports pavilion some distance from the main site. Because of the low bandwidth requirements of VisionIP, all four cameras can use the same link, thus keeping down the costs.
