“The system we all had in place was pretty antiquated and the cameras weren’t always located in the best places,” comments Jane Smailes, CEO of Lydney Town Council. 

“A neighbouring town, Wotton-under-Edge, had a CCTV system installed that was successfully meeting the needs of their town. They had experienced similar issues and had been using their system for about four years. 

“The qualities of the images are even better than we anticipated and the RedHand software is extremely easy to use,” observes Jane. “Of course, they are always at the end of the phone as well, so we’re very confident in using the system to its best advantage. The system we now have in place is significantly better than the one provided by the District Council and it has been provided at a fraction of the cost that taking over the old system would have worked out at.”
